Stress and anxiety are very similar, they are driven by the same chemical reactions in your body and hypnotherapy is an extremely effective way to relieve both stress and anxiety. The symptoms of stress and anxiety include; sweaty palms, increased heart rate, churning and knots in the stomach.
Difference Between Stress & Anxiety
Our bodies and minds perceive stress and anxiety as the same thing, our bodies release the same chemicals and we experience the same symptoms. The only difference between stress and anxiety is the definition, stress is usually caused by a situation and anxiety is caused by fear or anticipation of a situation. They are both parts of the fight or flight response, preparing to avoid danger or fight but pretty counter productive in modern life. Your body releases chemicals to help you stand and fight or run away. The body cannot determine the difference between a percieved threat and a real one so anxiety is caused. Sometimes anxiety is defined as short-term while stress can go on for months.
Stress can be treated with medication but this kind of treatment can lead to dependency and addictions, counselling or stress management sessions can be effective in treating stress but in the long-term, these kind of solutions can get expensive and take up a lot of time.
Hypnotherapy for Stress
Hypnotherapy is a very effective way to combat stress & anxiety, trance is perfectly natural and can be a very relaxing state, hypnotherapy can offer a quick fix that reduces stress, anxiety and worries very quickly. Hypnotherapy can also be used to reprogram the brain for long-term stress relief helping the person who suffers from stress or anxiety to find new ways of looking at things, developing new ways to cope with stress and anxiety. I have made the below recording to help people who suffer from stress and anxiety. The recording contains binaural beats and is best enjoyed with headphones.
Hypnotherapy Sessions for Stress | Not Just Listen to Recordings?
Hypnotherapy recordings can be very effective to reduce stress and anxiety but you may find a one to one hypnotherapy session with me much more effective because:
- When you talk about a problem your brain will automatically start to find solutions for it.
- I can show you techniques to help you remember times when you have handled stress effectively.
- When you are in a hypnotic trance we can create what is called an anchor, anchors can be fired at the first signs of stress or anxiety and these can instantly induce a stress free, relaxed state.
- Talking about a problem can help put it into perspective.
- I can help you look at situations from different, less stressful angles.
